Chinese New Year holidays are over. It's so damn unmotivating to come back to work today while my boss is still holidaying over in Cameron Highlands.
It was a lot of fun doing nothing but sleep, eat and watch TV for a whole week. It's really a BAD idea to go out during the holidays because everywhere is jampacked. The Kek-Lok-Si, the Malls, The Kopitiams, etc. So it's best to just stay home and do what I did. Sleep, eat and watch TV. And I would like to thank Mr. Satkuru for saving me from getting my butt kicked for missing the flight back to Penang. We can never thank you enough!
What happened was, we bought Air Asia tickets online to fly back to Penang for CNY. And as that was my first time taking a plane I had no idea that we are supposed to check in 45 minutes before the plane takes off, meaning we are supposed to reach the air port die die before 1.45p.m. But being a Malaysian and a person who is always late, by the time we reached the airport, it was already 2.15p.m!
We ran like a bunch of crazy people with me holding Sukorn to the Check in counter. I was thrilled to see that the counter is still open. But by the time it was my turn, the counter had been closed right in my face and I was told to check in at the service counter.
I ran to the service counter and was actually begging and begging for the officer to let us in. But was turned down by him eventhough tears were already flowing from my eyes. That officer was so freaking snobbish I feel like kicking myself for having to beg for his help. But after a few minutes of begging him to let us in, he chased me away by saying "Miss, the only option is to go buy a new ticket. Please step away because I have other customers to attend to."
We went to the nearby cafe to buy lunches for my mom as we had not eaten anything at all.
While crying like a baby I called Fire and Satkuru informing them about my bad luck.
I then went over to the sales counter to check if there's anymore flights available that day. BUt to my disappointment, all tickets were SOLD OUT! But even if there are tickets available that day, I can't even afford to buy it. It's like RM270++ per ticket.
Since there's nothing else I can do to get the ticket, it's only normal for me to cry like a freaking 5 years old in the cafe. Freaking stress can!
But suddenly I see a bright light of hope, eh no...I received a SMS of hope from Satkuru. One of his friend was taking the same flight as mine and the flight was delayed till pretty late so he got me to quickly go to the service counter and check with them and see if we are allowed to check in or not.
Me, after reading the SMS ran like mad to the service counter and I was thankful that the arrogant, snobbish, rude, "lorheng", fugly Malay officer I spoke with just now wasn't there. I went straight to a Indian uncle officer and told him about my situation. He then checked with the crew on his walkie talkie and then said YES and ask me for ICs.
I fast fast threw him mine and Sukorn's ICs and ran back to the cafe to get my mom and then ran back to the counter with two luggages and passed the uncle my mom's I.C. And then ran to the next counter to pass them our luggages and then ran to go on the plane.
I think I ran more in the airport that day than I do in a month normally. Luckily I was wearing a pair of flat sandals and not the 4" wedges that I was banned from wearing after pokkai-ng down in Carrefour Wangsa Maju not too long ago.
So in the end, All's Well End's Well...
Morale of the story is... When the flight is delayed, you have to wait for it, but if you are late, the plane does not wait for you!

Thank god you managed to make it back. Welcome back to Penang! :)
I know this feeling. LOL.. first time I was late in reaching the airport, the miss there duwan let me take.
Second time I was early, checked-in but relaxed too much didn't board the flight.
It's twice and because of that, I have to fork out like RM700 for both flights. Imagine what I could do with that much money. ARgh~~~~~~
Luckily you made it in time lo..
Btw, when u balik KL one.. On wednesday msged u wanna ajak u out for gathering, u never reply one.. T.T
This is a good lesson for you, hahah...Next time if you buy cheap cheap air-ticket online, which cannot change to the next flight without additional cost if you missed, make sure you are in airport at least one hour early!!
Lasker: yahhh.. luckily or else RM240 wasted. Wahrao heart pain..
Daniel: No wonder you are kind of weird. Reached sodamn early also can missed flight one.-___-"
