Bringing Baby To Office

SUKORN'S UPDATE!
Baby Sukorn can now walk on his own without holding on to anything!!!! Eventhough he'll tumble after 2-3 steps, but for him and for us, it's a HUGE achievement! We are so proud of you.

Almost two week ago, my mom had gone back to Butterworth to run her errands as usual but this time longer. While she was in Butterworth, I had no choice but to bring baby Sukorn to work. To be honest I rather stay home than to bring him to work but when I told my boss of my situation she said this to me instead. "I rather you bring baby to work than to take leave". -_-"

I work in a shop where we customize wedding gowns for the bride-to-be(s). It's a small shop with only only me and my boss in it. My working days are from Wednesday to Sunday therefore I only need to bring Sukorn to work for 2 days as hubby will be at home to look after him during the weekends and our shop was closed for the New Year.

So on Wednesday morning before I went to work, I've packed all the essentials items like Milk Powder, Baby Cereal, Hot Water, 2 Baby Bottles, Pacifier, 2 Diapers, Baby Nappy, Baby Wet Wipes, Baby Changing Mat, a pair of Clean Clothes, a Blanket, baby's favorite Pillow and a bag full of Toys. And after I've changed Sukorn's clothes and fed him milk, we were all set to go. Sukorn was ready to vist his mommy's office!

When we reached my office, we've brought up the Stroller so that baby can sit and sleep in it while I do my work. My boss was an angel for constantly baby talked and played with Sukorn. She has a daughter too who is 1.5 months older than Sukorn. So that explains why she's so good at playing with baby.

For the first 2 hours Sukorn was a really good boy. Playing with his toys quietly in the stroller. But I had to change the toy for him as he got bored really fast if he were to play with the same toy.

After that, he started to stand up from the stroller, being curious with everything that is on my desk. When I said everything it really means EVERYTHING. Throwing down the puncher to the floor, snatching my mouse, the pens, notepads, invoices, and anything which is within his reach. And whenever I snatched the things back from him, he will cry.

After a while, I've eventually surrendered and passed him a pen. And he ended having pen marks all over his thigh.

Evie joined me for lunch because she wanted to see Sukorn an had missed him terrrrriiibbbbllyyyyy although she had just seen him like 2 nights ago. That's how powerful my Sukorn is. :P

After lunch, we headed up to my office and I've prepared some milk to feed Sukorn while chatting with Evie. And Sukorn had fell asleep on my lap while drinking his milk.

I've then out him on the stroller so that I could do some work. My boss was really funny as she would be whispering when she wanna say something. And she was so understanding and worried that she might interrupt baby's sleeping, she went to the TOILET to speak on the phone.

After baby's awake, he continued to crawl about in the stoller, standing up on his own while holding on to the table to peek on what his mommy is doing. He would try to climb to my lap to hint that he wants me to hold him. He would talked to himself, sometimes sang and sometimes yell out of the sudden. All of those cute stuffs that made both me and my boss laughed so hard our tummies hurt.

There was once when some customers came to try on their gowns. I've no choice but to hold Sukorn and put him on the floor (carpeted) in the fitting room. Instead of looking at the bride's gowns, all the bridesmaid went and played with Sukorn instead and well, the bride didn't look amused at all. LOL.

I was relieved when the day ends as everything had gone smoothly in the office. No intense yelling or crying from baby. He had been a really really really good boy despite some of his mischievous act.

We went home, put him in a warm water and cleaned him up. Fed him milk, played for a while and then slept.

The next day went on smoothly eventhough baby pooped in the evening.

So it's actually possible to bring your baby to work, if your boss allows you so. But, not much work can be done because you need to constantly looking at your baby. Unless your baby is the type that sleeps for 8 hours a day.

And I am really proud to have Sukorn as my baby because my boss kept on telling me this.

"Your son is really a good boy. If I were to bring my daughter to the office, she would have torn the whole office down!"

Like mother like son.. hehehehe..
