Today is 30th of August 2008, a very special day. Why? One, it's the Public Holiday tomorrow, meaning I am able to pig until 1pm if I want to. Two, the day after tomorrow is also a public holiday and yes, another day where I can pig till the evening. But none of that is more special than this one. Someone had go all the way to throw a huge dinner for ME! Yeah, no one else but ME!!!!! (and Wendy too but this is my blog so it's gonna be all about ME!) I ranted a little bit in one of my previous post and this girl got all "gamdong" and decided to go through all the fuss to welcome me to her house for a home-cooked dinner (awwww~) Wow, maybe I should rant more emo stuffs in my blog so that more and more people will throw me a party huh?? Free dinners every nite, and I will be able to buy myself a new laptop in a few months. ^_^V
Okay back to the dinner, this someone is my "adik" that I came to known in ShoutOut! Her name is Daphne and guys she's hot and she's single. I no lie you, if you wanna get to know her, this is her blog ---> http://starsarereachable.blogspot.com/ (purposely put big big so that she knows I've linked her)
You can even leave me a comment or MSN me if you want her or contacts or pay me some bucks and I'll arrange a date for you. ;) And oh, I'm going to her house for the dinner tonite, so if you pay me BIGGER bucks, I'll give you her house address. ;)
Okay, yeah, since my adik Daphne is being so nice to me despite all the bullyings I've done to her, I'm gonna talk all about her in this post.
And as I said, I came to know this hottie from ShoutOut and the more we shout the more we got closer to each other and now she's sorta like my adik although I ignore her most of the time in the MSN when she bugs me. Lol. Although I'm only gonna meet her for the first time tonight, we actually talked on the phone and MSN like we've known each other for years. And I remembered talking to her on the phone one time for so loooooong gossipings and all. God, I've never been on the phone with anyone else for so long, not even my husband. XD Happy die her! And she is one friend that wouldn't care and would laugh at whatever lame jokes that we tell. And girl, I can't wait to celebrate our birthday together next year.. Wheeee
Okay guys.. That's for all because Mr. Driver is here and we are VERY LATE to the dinner.. So byeeee...
And I LAP YOU DEEP DEEP DAFUNI!!!!! (Dun be so gatal ok?)
Inconsiderate, Selfish And So Damn Annoying!!!!!
Have you ever been woke up from a good sleep so damn early in the morning you wish you have a bomb? I DO! Don't these people know that 5.00 o'clock is like the best sleeping time. Don;t they know that??? If they do why on earth do they have to wail like it's nobody business so early in the morning????? Through loudspeaker summore! If you still don't catch why I'm saying, it's the Muslim prayers!!!
I really don't understand what's they point of yelling through the speakers when they wanna say their prayers. Can't they do it quietly like the rest of the religions do? I mean, religions are suppose to teach people to be considerate, thoughtful and all but waking people up and annoying people aren't exactly a thoughtful thing to do. It's like as if they have to wake up so early because it's their responsibile to say prayers at this hour and they hate it thus they have to make everyone's morning hell so that it's equal. It's that what they are trying to do? "I don't get to sleep why let others sleep?" Hate me and call me racist but let me tell you I hate these dumbass to pieces. I want my sleep!!!!
And after dragging myself from my bed after I slept back for another 3 hours, I was so prepared to go to work as early as possible because I'm new in the company and I need to build a good impression. I was so excited because it's still very early when I jumped into Firewire's car thinking that today I'm gonna be at the office as early as my boss.
But I was so wrong when I see the jams along the highway! Shit! Stupid "Raptai Pembarisan Merdeka" going on and causing the jams on the both sides of the road!!! Wth??? You people are doing the same thing over and over again every year so why on earth do you need rehearsals???? Not for a day but for a few days until 31st August 2008. It's not like you people are doing anything really fascinating, you are just walking by and driving your cars along the road and you need rehearsals? Geeezzz.. Shame on you people..
And mind you, people like us need to go to work!! So you think we should be late just because you need to do some stupid rehearsals??? If you say, we should wake up earlier to avoid being late.. Woi!!!! You freaking block the road from 7.00 am till 11.00am so are suppose to wake up at 6.00am to go to work????
Come on, this is not a way to make us love or feel proud of our country;s independence. You are making us hating it more! If you really need to do that stupid rehearsals, let me suggest you this --> DO IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND MAKE THOSE LATE NITE BIRDS AND MAT REMPITS LIFE HELL INSTEAD!!!! Damn you!

KL Taxis vs Penang Taxis
Taxis are like one of the most common public transport in Malaysia. I prefer to take taxi over bus honestly because taking a taxi, you'll have the "feel" of being chaffeur around whereas taking a bus feels like... t aking a bus. -_-" Crowded, bring push around and at risk of being "POK MONG" too! (Pok mong = Molest)
So being in KL for a few weeks, I've taken more taxis than I've ever done in Penang for a year and I found out that there are a HUGE different between the taxis in this two states.
Taxis in Penang
Taking taxis in Penang are very very easy. why? Because eventhough you are just walking down the road with no intention on taking the taxi, they'll stop and ask you if you want to take a taxi or not. And most of the time you'll just shake your head, wave your hand madly (without even saying thank you for their offer) and walk off. I used to find it really annoying when taxis from all directions stop by my side when I just wanna walk. Hey, if I wanna take taxi i'll wave for you to stop lah okay.
And taxi drivers in Penang are usually kinda talkative. They'll ask you where do you wanna go? Where are you from? If you are in the mood to chat with them, they'll even tell you why they become taxi driver in the first place, how many kids they have, where did their kids used to studied last time, what are their kids doing now, how old are they, when are they planning to retire, what do they like to eat, which durian stall do they think sell the best durian and all sorts of family histories. So friendly can. And eventhough the taxi fares are kinda pricey, you still "kam muan" to pay them because of their friendly and smily services. =) (kam muan=gladly)
Taxis in Kuala Lumpur
I got no mood to talk about them so let's just cut it short and do it in point form.
a) Sibeh LANSI! Like I owed their great grandfather a million bucks like that!
b) When you hop onto their car, it's as if you have some HIV disease, they wouldn't even care to look at you when you talk to them.
c) They are like the most miserable people in the world with no smiling skills or whatsoever.
d) Eventhough you stand at the bus stand and obviously waving at them so that they stop, they would just drive pass you like you are some idiots.
e) I feel like an idiot for taking their taxi!
d) I feel like an idiot for paying them the money and to be treated like an idiot.
f) I prefer to take the crowded, people pushing and molest-risky bus than to take the stupid taxi!
h) I HATE KL TAXIS!
(Lansi=Rude/arrogant)
And I miss Penang taxis... eventhough their cars are more laubeh than those Proton Iswaras in KL, but still, it's way, way, way, waaaaaaaayyyyyy more comfortable than any taxi that iI've ever taken in Malaysia.

Job Hunting In KL!
3 weeks of being a full-time housewife in KL wasn't really a fun experience. And it's even worst when there's no TV and internet at home. All I did was sleep, laundry, eat, sweep and mop the floor, sleep, eat, sleep and more sleeping. Gosh! That's why I was more than willing to fast fast look for a job and end my borings days at home. Don't get me wrong... I love sleeping very much but sleeping everyday is a bit too much for my liking.. Yikes!
Thus, I've started to send my CVs even before I step my foot to this city. And by the time we're done with our wedding, I've went for my first job interview.
Interview #1
I called up this fella because he posted a thread in Lowyat Forums. From the thread and telephone, I was informed that he is looking for a group of people. What we do is, we'll be assigned to companies to do presentations on their company's product. And we are to train them on how to use it too. I was so happy to attend this company because frrom what he described, I love this kind of job because it involve a lot of talking and meeting people.
So, there I was at his office for the interview 2 days after my wedding. And guessed what? It turned out that the "product" that they are selling is INSURANCE! And our "actual" job is to get people to buy insurance from us. Geezzzzz.... But it was okay, I was persistent that selling insurance is not that bad because I used to work in the insurance line so I might as well give it a shot, so I went to their training. The training was fun because I was taught some stuffs about financial planning and since it was FREE, I ain't complaining. After that training, I was informed that there's another training. It was free too as it was "sponsored" by a huge Insurance company. Wow, I was so excited to join the training because I will be learning more. But, dang! By the time they finished telling us about the 2nd training, we were asked to pay RM40-00 as a "commitment fee" to them. And they will return us this RM40-00 if we stick to them after the training. Sorry, I won't spend that much of money on something that I'm uncertain of. who knows they might asked for another Rm40-00 or maybe more for the next training. So, that's the end of my first interview. I've rejected their
Interview #2
Since I got no internet at home, the easiest way to look for jobs are by searching through the newspaper. So, we'll buy The Star newspaper everyday without fail because there are a lot of recruitments in it.
And somewhere last week, I saw a company. The stated in the ads that they are a "Advertising Firm" looking for "Marketing Executive". And when they called me up for an interview, I was once again jumping upside down with excitement!
So there I was at their office after 25 minutes of walking and 45 minutes of LRT ride. And the first interview was brilliant. This Marketing manager told me that they are looking for someone to do PURE MARKAETING. Meaning, if I got the job, I'll be involve in BRANDING, PRICING, PACKAGE DESIGN, PROMOTIONS etc. etc. I was so excited because this is exactly what I've studied to do. No sales but just PURE MARKETING job. And they will give me RM 2,500-00 if I got this job. So I said yes immediately when I was asked to attend their training on the next day.
I was dressed at my best the next day. A top, a coat and a pencil skirt. Something a "Marketing Executive" would wear to work. But guessed what I did the whole during the "training"? I was brought to some kampung place in Selayang to sell perfume. Yes!! WALKED AROUND THE STREET, SHOP BY SHOP, PERSON BY PERSON TO SELL THEM PERFUME!!!!!!! Omg!!!! This is like the silliest thing that I've ever done in my life! If wanna become a sales girl going around like that I would have stop studying after SPM! And they wouldn't bring me back to the office until 6pm! IMAGINE WALKING AROUND THE KAMPUNG IN A SUIT FROM 10AM TILL 6PM!!!!!!
Feeling so furious I told the Marketing Manager that this is NOT what I've expected to do during my second interview. Smiling at me, she said this. This is only a training to train your marketing skills and confident. Everyone has to go through this training for about three months before they can involve in the "marketing" job. I snapped, but I'm very good in talking already, can I skip the training??? And the answer is NO. So I told them in the face... Sorry but I'm not interested in becoming a sales girl for the next three month.
So you can tell how disappointed I was with the interviews and with stupid people wasting my time and enerygy. At some point I was kinda chickened out to apply for jobs. And since that 2nd interview, I learnt a lesson to ONLY apply for jobs when there's a COMPANY NAME, JOB SCOPE, FULL ADDRESS and TELEPHONE NUMBER in the ads. Phobia.. Definitely phobiaaaaa... What do the call the phobia of looking for jobs? JoboPhobia?
Okay, enough of ranting... Here comes my THIRD JOB INTERVIEW.
Interview #3
Came across this ads in The Star (again!). But this time, the name of the company is there. what's the company about is there, Job post and job scopes are also there. So I called them up for an appointment.
This time I go there without much hope nor excitement to avoid being disappointed again. And guess what?????????????? This time it's for real! Phew~~~~~ I'll be doing exactly what's written in the newspaper. To attend customer's needs, enquiries and complaints. To update our accounts in eBay etc as we too sell our wedding gowns online. Wheee... And when the lady boss asked me when can I start working. I shouted "IMMEDIATELY!!!!" And wheeee... I'm going to work tomorrow.
So that's it, no more time wasting, no more kena cheat, I'll be working for real. So guys, wish me luck on my new job ok.. I need all the nest wishes from you guys.. OMG.. this post is so long I hope I doesn't bore you guys... I promised when I get the internet at home, I'll post a lot a lot of photos for you guys to enjoy k.. You know what photos i'm talking about ;)
P/S: To those hunting for jobs in KL, one advice from me is BE CAREFUL yah. I'm lucky that The only thing I've lost is my time and energy and not some other stuffs that I don't even wanna talk about. So, be really careful, don;t be fooled by the amount of money they are offering in the ads. They are all lies!!!! NOTHING BUT LIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
