I'm A Pig

As mentioned on my previous post, went back to Penang last Sunday night to visit my little precious. I always hated to take bus on a long journey so as usual I went back by the train. As I was a bit late to buy the ticket, all the sleeping berth had been sold out so I had to buy the second class sitting ticket instead.

When I was on my way to Penang, I was seated with a middle-aged Malay man. I was a little bit uncomfortable at first because the thought of sleeping with another man (although on separate seats) irks me a little. But in the end, I was really glad because he went and slept with his wife whose sitting on the other side and left me sitting alone (hurray!).

The nightmares started when I was on my way back to KL. I was really really upset because I has to seat with another Malays guy in his 20s. The worst part is, the whole coach is full of his gang, which makes me the only Chinese in that coach.

Part of me was annoyed while part of me was scared. I was so scared that they will steal something from my bag that I end up holding both of my bags to myself instead of throwing them up to the place where people put their bags. And as that Malays guy besides me was leaning on his back, I dare not to lean on my back because I was afraid that he would touch me. I don't want any of his body part to touch me. Eeek!

And for the first hour of my journey back home, I was so hoping that the ticket officer would come faster so that I could exchange place to the sleeping berth (if there's any empty space) only to find out that all of them had been occupid. So there I was feeling so irritated and upset because I will be stuck there for 9 hours.

Since I was left no other choice, I tucked my bagpack under my seat and hold another one with me the whole night. They were making a lot of noises by talking and laughing so loudly. Thank God I brought along my earphone and my phone's battery was fully charged. Inserted the earphone to my ear and blasted the MP3 player to maximum volume.

After like 2-3 hours, the guy besides eventually waved to me and initiated a conversation asking me where I want to go and so on. Being "friendly", I talked to him with a fake smile. After less than 10 minutes, we kept quiet and I plugged the earphone back into my ear.

I was planning to stay awake the whole night because I was really scared what they'll do to me after I fell asleep. But in the end I dozed off because I was kinda tired and I still need to go to a few hours upon reaching KL.

I woke up several times during the whole trip back because it's really uncomfortable to sleep in sitting position. And I woke up to check on the time to see how long do I have to deal with this anymore. That guy besides me leaned his head toward my side but luckily not on my shoulder or else I would have freaked out.

All the while I did know that I'm a racist person but I didn't know that I would be so racist that I did not trust any of them race. What made it worst was the fact that I was the only girl on that coach. Really scared the shit outta me.

So what I've learnt from this experience is not to buy train tickets last minute.

And to those that hates me after reading this post, don't judge, I'm sure that there's a part of racist-ness in you too.

Conclusion is, I'm a pig, a racist PIG~

Decision Made

It has been two weeks since we fetched my mommy and baby back home in Butterworth. Until now, I'm still not sure wether it's a right decision to leave my baby with my mom while me and byy work our ass up to earn more money so that we can have a bigger house and better life by next year.

But so far, I'm kinda disappointed because it has been two weeks and we have have not done anything much yet. *sigh~* And I have yet seen any improvement.

Anyway, this two week I've been keeping myself busy with crocheting Amigurumi dolls. Amigurumi is a Japanese art of knitting and crocheting stuff animals. I'll post up what I've done thus far here and I'm planning to sell them too. I'm still waiting for my Mr Hubby to take the pictures of them. >.>

I'll be going back to Butterworth in a few days to visit my little precious. I've been missing so much. His smiles, his laughters..Awwww~

And I'm really proud of my baby because at such tender age he's now showing one of his strong personality which is his strong determination. When he wanna do something, he will do it again again and again until he managed to do it right. For example, when he wanna roll over to the crawling position. And at 5 months old, he's already learning how to crawl. And my mom told me that baby can now crawl backwards. Hahahaha.. Not bad huh~

It has been a month since I lastr update my blog. I'm very sorry because I've been very busy with life and work that I lost the inspiration to blog.

But when I see this news in a forum, I thought that I could post it here too to create awareness about this issue. And I hope that you readers can also help out this little girl by donating any amount of money that is affordable to you.

This is an e-mail that had been circulated around the internet by the parents' friend in order to seek more donations:

Subject: Appealing for help for baby Loke Kai Xin's liver transplant

Dear fellow colleagues,

Good day to you:

Never in my life I’ve ever thought that one day I’ll be doing this for people I’ve known personally. All along it has always been strangers or the closest is friend of friend’s. The need has now arise and I hereby wish to appeal for help on behalf of our ex-colleague, Eric Loke and Lee Huey Jing, (both formerly from Formis Software Dynamics Sdn Bhd).

Their daughter Loke Kai Xin was diagnosed with biliary atresia at 3 months old and a Kasai procedure was done in February then. Unfortunately, the procedure did not cure her condition and was advised liver transplant as her last and only option.

Due to her weight, she was advised by UMSC to seek medical help from Singapore. After the first round of pre-assessment at National University Hospital S’pore, both parents were found to be suitable donors for Kai Xin. As of today, 1st, June 2009, both parents are in NUH (Sg) for the second round of pre-assessment to confirm and determine their suitability to be donors.

The total cost including post-operations and follow up expected to be at the region of RM500k (liver transplant and pre-assessment SGD200k, post ops, follow ups etc) or more due to her age.

This amount is just too high for them to bear in full; therefore they are appealing for our help. They have also contacted NST but NST has a condition before publish their plight - the confirmed donor information and operation date - which Eric could only provide after the second pre-assessment.

A fund has been set-up for Kai Xin with following bank account details. For those who are keen, kindly deposit your donations (cash or cheque) in favour of:

Name: Loke Kai Xin

Bank: Maybank Berhad
A/C No.: 1-14013-213313

Attached is the referral letter from the Prof Lee @ UMSC and Liver Transplant Program cost from NUH and the following email from both parents for your perusal.

May the compassion of Medicine Buddha cure all illnesses that is afflicting Loke Kai Xin now. May she has a speedy recovery, long and healthy life!

Thank you.

My First Mother's Day Present

3 comment(s)

Mother's Day is another 2 days away and yesterday my son had gave me my very first Mother's Day present.

He's now almost 4 months old but my little baby already know how to cheer up his mommy by giving her the best present ever. He gave me a kiss on my cheek.

It was late last night when he have me the present. He was making some noises on the bed. So as usual I will hold him up and cuddle him to sleep as it was already pretty late. His hands was holding my shoulder. And suddenly he moved his face towards my right cheek and kissed my cheek. Not only a peck, I can actually heard a "muacks" sound from him too. After that he rested his head on my shoulder and felt asleep.

And I thought i would be getting nothing from my baby as he is still very small.

Wah~ Suddenly my world is filled with sunshine and rainbow. Told you guys having a baby is not all about hardwork and burdens. Little things that they do could really change our lifes to a happier one.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. Hope you girls get the best thing from your children too....

Pulau Ketam : The Land Of Selfish Humans

0 comment(s)

I can't believe that humans could be so selfish to do such things.

When the economy is good, they happily buy a dog no matter how expensive it is. And when the economy is bad, they rounded up all the dogs and throw them in a deserted island to starve.

Some were drowned trying to swim back to the main island. And some just died of starvation.

And the residents in Pulau Ketam gave lame excuses that they did what they did because there were TOO MANY stray dogs in their island. But I think there should be some other ways to overcome ths problem besides this.

And from the poster above, I think the poor little terrier was once loved before he was thrown into the island like that.

Dogs lover, Sabrina And TV Smith are now looking for sponsors as they wanted to rescue the remaining dogs on the island. And as everyone knows the rescue mission would need a lot of money to hire boats, get more hands to help catch the dogs, foods, medicines, treatments
, cages, etc. If you would like to sponsor or help them out, do visit their website at http://www.mycen.com.my/rescue/index.html

If you would like to help them but at the same time you have no money to do so >.<, please help them to create more awareness by posting about the stories and link their website to your blog (if you have one), Facebook, MSN, Friendster (if you are still using it), talk about it during lunch, tea break, dinner, supper, yumchar session, etc so that more and more people know about what's going on.

And to the residents in Pulau Ketam that took part in doing this inhumane thing, you know that what goes around comes around and you know there's karma, you better save MORE money for the rainy days. You don't want to be stranded and starve to the death like what you did to the dogs.

And yeah, your seafood SUCKS!
